Now Enrolling: Phase III Clinical Trial for Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG)

Smiling elderly woman in healthcare setting.
Quantum Clinical Research is currently enrolling adults aged 18-85 for a 9-month research study evaluating an investigational oral daily treatment (Iptacopan) for generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG).

Why this Trial?

Iptacopan is an investigational drug that works by blocking a specific protein in the immune system to help prevent the muscle weakness caused by gMG. This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this treatment compared to a placebo over a 6-month treatment phase, followed by follow-up visits.

Commitment Overview

The core study lasts roughly 9 months and includes approximately 11 clinic visits at our research site.

Who Can Participate?

You may be eligible to join if you:

  • Are between 18 and 85 years of age.
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) with positive AChR+ antibodies.
  • Are currently experiencing significant non-ocular symptoms of gMG (muscle weakness, fatigue, etc.).
  • Have been on a stable gMG treatment (like NSISTs, IVIG/PLEX, FcRN antagonists, or Rituximab) for at least 6 months.
Note: Certain recent treatments, surgeries (like thymectomy within 6 months), or active infections may temporarily pause your eligibility. See full details during the pre-screening phase.
